Lique Schoot is preoccupied with the self-portrait. Her growing archive of daily photographed self-portraits (since 2003 and almost 3500 photos) is the basis for her paintings, photography, objects and installations. Her work shows general emotions and deals with the major themes of life: birth, growth, decay and death - shown in different series.
